4 Graduation Party Planning Do’s and Don’ts
No matter if your student is celebrating the end of their high school career or they’re coming home with a college degree, a graduation is something to celebrate! If you’re planning a party for a son or daughter graduating this spring, use our graduation do’s and don’ts to get started!
DO: Plan ahead as much as possible. Doing as much graduation party prep as possible in the months, weeks, and days before the party will save you tons of stress. Consider serving food that you can prepare the night before, send out invitations early, and schedule your tent rental in Richboro as soon as you’ve chosen a date.
DON’T: Keep it a secret. As soon as you know when your party will be, give your neighbors a heads-up. This will help them anticipate noise and a large crowd. Better yet, invite them over to share in some of the fun!
DO: Offer plenty of seating. You want to make sure that you’ll have plenty of seating available for guests on the day of your event, so make sure you overestimate the number of chairs that you’ll need. If you don’t think you’ll have enough, consider borrowing some from your neighbors or renting them from your local party supply store.
DON’T: Only offer food and drinks. Graduation parties are all about celebrating your son or daughter’s accomplishments, so make sure to offer guests more to do than enjoy a meal! You might want to consider hosting a trivia contest where guests can win prizes if they know some of the graduate’s favorite subjects, foods, or movies, setting up a photo booth, or creating a memory board where guests can share some positive messages for the grad. The possibilities are endless!
