Proper Tent Etiquette 101
When you’re throwing your next event this fall, remember to grace your guests with the proper tent etiquette. No event, whether it’s a wedding, anniversary, corporate event, or picnic, is complete without making sure the tent is being used correctly and the people underneath it are having a good time.
We’re sure you know how to host a party and keep your friends and family entertained, but do you know how to survive the day using the proper tent etiquette? This is Tent Etiquette 101 – the accelerated class by Tents & Events, a tent rental company in Bucks County, PA, and other local areas, that will teach you how to behave under your tent during your fall event.
1. Bring insect repellant – No matter what time of year it is, it’s always a good idea to bring insect repellant. You never know what types of bugs are lurking out there. Of course, we have tents with sidewalls that will protect you from them, but if you’re thinking about venturing out into the open, use bug spray. It really works.
2. Do not build any fires under the tent – Even though it might be fun, it’s probably wouldn’t be a good idea to make one under the tent. Fires cause smoke and without a fireplace or firepit, they will end up being uncontrollable, and you’ll just end up disappointing Smokey the Bear in the end. So, if you don’t want to cause your guests to break out in coughing fits, avoid building your own fires.
3. Don’t feed any wild animals – If you bring your dog with you, please give it food when it’s hungry. The animals you shouldn’t be feeding are squirrels, raccoons, possums, birds, and more. If you do it once, then they’ll just keep coming back for more, and they might even bring their friends with them.
